Pondering...

I'm a little concerned today...

Mom has been reading all these great Pug/People blogs..and visiting all these sites.  Which is all great, she reads, I snooze. It's all good.
But sometimes she tells me about some of the things she reads and I am starting to wondering if I'm.....a *gulp*....*whispers*  true pug.

You see, she has been reading about these "crack" pugs.  All crazy and hyper and just oodles of energy.  I shook that off, cuz I'm a wise 6 years old. It's cool.

But then she read about all these different Pugs being...Foodies.  You'd think by the size of me, I am a total foodie, but I am not at all.  I wait at the edge of the kitchen till I'm told I can come in and eat.  I don't "dance" for my food...and there have been plenty I have turned my nose up at.  See?!?!?! That's just UN~Pug, right?????  I don't like Potatoes, Fish, or apples.  I like most meat, but lick my paws a lot if I have too much chicken.  I rarely eat anything I find outside, and speaking of, I don't mind getting wet or muddy.  I tolerate the bath cuz I love the towel game at the end.
But this whole food issue.....Mom got me some Wellness, I didn't care for.  Then she tried Honest Kitchen, NO WAY!!!  I tolerate Beneful and I am for the moment liking Pedigree.
Carrots are ok, but in little bits.
Peas, not so sure about.
Green beans are eatable.
I love Pumpkin, but was told I can't overdo it ~ something about too much fiber.
Maybe moms freaking out about what's really in commercial dog food has me a little freaked out too. (Some lady gave her a book to read, and she has been obsessing about what to feed me since!)

I'm a total chill pug..........love to watch people and get pats on the head, but I'm just worried about this NON Foodie side of me.
What do you think? Ever heard of a pug being a NON Foodie?!?!!??!

  1. I have my moments of energy, but for the most part, I prefer the couch. But to not like food like a pug...hmmm...that is something else entirely! Although perhaps you have just not found that special something to push you over the edge and get your pug cravings really going? I have to stay away from grains and poultry. I love my Honest Kitchen Zeal, but since you tried it and didn't like it, maybe you'd like Blue Buffalo or Blue Buffalo Wilderness (their grain-free variety)? Either way, it's ok, because that's what makes you special and we like you just the way you are.
    Love,
    Payton
